Back by popular demand, Wilton Youth Council’s Parent Connection and Wilton Library are sponsoring a parenting book discussion with psychologist and Wilton mom, Dr. Susan Bauerfeld, on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 10:30 a.m.. The book selected for discussion is The Parent App: Understanding Families in the Digital Age by Lynn Schofield Clark, and is the second book being covered in the parenting book discussion series.

The Parenting Book Series was established to help parents sift through the avalanche of advice that exists in the world of parenting books. In each session, Dr. Bauerfeld will present an overview of a parenting book chosen for its soundness and relevance to the community. Following the presentation, there will be time for questions and discussion. Reading the book is not required but is encouraged and will likely enhance the discussion.

The discussion will be hosted by the Wilton Library in the Rimer Room from 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.. Admission is free and reservations are recommended.

The series was established to help parents sift through the avalanche of advice that exists in the world of parenting books. The next date in the series is Tuesday, March 4 and will cover the book, No: Why Kids – of All Ages – Need to Hear it and Ways Parents Can Say It, by Dr. David Walsh, Ph.D.

Dr. Bauerfeld, a licensed clinical psychologist, ADHD Coach, and mother of three.
