Selectman Bas Nabulsi Endorses Ross Tartell and Farah Masani to Join Him on Board of Selectmen

To the Editor:

I write to share my strong support for Ross Tartell and Farah Masani for the Board of Selectmen. I believe that the addition of Ross and Farah will bring the insight and perspective needed on the Board as we transition to new leadership in the First Selectman position and will ensure that we act with guiding principles of transparency, community engagement and open-mindedness.

I’ve worked with Ross on the Board of Selectmen for the last two years, and his thorough preparation, probing questions and thoughtful approach to issues brought before the Board have benefited all of us in countless ways. Ross has invaluable knowledge and experience — both with the town and through his professional experience in leadership development — that will be vital to the Board in the coming years. We are fortunate that Ross continues to step forward to serve this community that he knows so well and cares about so deeply.

Farah offers fresh ideas and fresh perspective that I strongly encourage the town to embrace and support for the Board. I first came to know Farah through her leadership and advocacy on behalf of Wilton Pride. Over the last few months, I’ve come to know that Wilton Pride is but the tip of the iceberg in terms of Farah’s interests and insights. She lives in the heart of Wilton Center and brings perspectives that will be essential as the town works to balance its need for diverse housing options and a vibrant commercial sector. Farah is passionate in her belief that the town needs more transparency, more community engagement and greater creativity in its decision-making. And if you spend a few minutes with Farah, you will quickly realize that her passionate beliefs will yield tangible results — results that will make this town stronger for many years to come.

Please join me on Tuesday, Nov. 7, and support Ross Tartell and Farah Masani for Board of Selectmen.
