Nicola Davies — Hardworking Advocate for Students, Families and Taxpayers

To the Editor:

I urge fellow voters to re-elect Nicola Davies to the Board of Education this November.

Nicola is a long-time Wilton resident with two sons that are Wilton High School graduates, giving her firsthand experience with our district. Her current Board service and prior PTA involvement demonstrate her commitment to public education.

Nicola is very collaborative and solution-oriented, which helps her to work with school administration and parents to find solutions that benefit everyone. I value her focus on maintaining academic excellence while exercising fiscal responsibility.

Nicola understands that our exceptional public schools are what draw many families to Wilton. Her dedication to supporting teachers and staff and to preparing students for tomorrow’s challenges will help preserve the educational excellence that defines our community.

Nicola Davies has proven herself as a hardworking advocate for students, families, and taxpayers. She deserves our continued support.

Andy Warren Brings Professional Expertise and Commitment to Community

I am writing to express my strong support for Andy Warren‘s candidacy for the Board of Selectmen in Wilton. As a 10-year resident and certified public accountant, Andy brings a wealth of professional expertise and a deep commitment to our community. His decision to run stems from a desire to contribute positively to Wilton’s future, leveraging his background to enhance our town’s governance.

Andy’s dedication to Wilton is evident through his active involvement in local initiatives, including his role on the Economic Development Commission. His focus on supporting local businesses and fostering economic growth aligns with the town’s objectives of maintaining a vibrant and prosperous community.

His professional background as a CPA equips him with the financial acumen necessary for effective budgetary management and fiscal responsibility. This expertise is crucial for the Board of Selectmen, which oversees town policies, ordinances and administrative functions.

Andrew’s candidacy offers a fresh perspective and a dedication to enhancing Wilton’s quality of life. I enthusiastically support his election to the Board of Selectmen and fellow residents should too.

Sincerely,

Matt Raimondi has Done Amazing Job as BOF Chair

To the Editor:

I strongly support Matt Raimondi for the Board of Finance. It is easy to explain what an amazing job Matt has done as Chairman the last few years (and as a member of the BOF for four years). I’ve paid close attention for two reasons — Matt and his wife Kristen are good friends (and great people), and my children attend Wilton schools.

Matt has led the budget process to excellent outcomes, as we’ve been able to both fund needed spending in our schools and manage a reasonable tax burden (even with the recent revaluation); Matt and the current BOF are due so much credit. Matt has built consensus by reaching out to and speaking with the school PTAs, the Wilton Woman’s Club, the Kiwanis, and Stay at Home Wilton, among other groups. He actually listens to parents, and he cares what all taxpayers think. He’s plainly explained Wilton’s financial situation so that most can understand what is needed to keep Wilton on sound economic footing. Under his leadership the last two budget seasons were far more harmonious than years prior.

Importantly Matt is also a diligent and caring person, spending more time than anyone could reasonably expect on BOF duties — we should all be grateful. I hope you will join me in voting for Matt on Nov. 4!
