“God said to Noah, there’s gonna be a floody floody … So get those animals out of the muddy muddy … Children of the Lord”

Temple B’nai Chaim is inviting four-legged friends with their owners to visit the synagogue this Friday night, Oct. 4. Leashed pets and their owners will be honored with the story of Noah,  and will be blessed during the service.

“God gave humanity responsibility to nurture and protect all the creatures of the earth.  So during the service on this Shabbat, we will honor those who have partnered with God and with their pets in a great “blessing of the pets” event,” explained Temple B’nai Chaim’s Rabbi David Lipper.

The service begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Temple courtyard. Pets should be on a leash, and attendees are asked to bring a bag or two to clean up after them (just in case) and a few pet snacks.

Temple B’nai Chaim is a reform congregation located at 82 Portland Avenue, in Georgetown.
