Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Initial Certification Class

The Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps (WVAC) is in need of more volunteers! If you do not have the time to take an EMT certification course (approx 150 + hours), the EMR course is a great alternative (approximately 80 hours). This course is designed for anyone interested in learning more about the emergency response system and in being a first responder. For WVAC, an EMR would be the driver on a crew. As an EMR, you will possess the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide lifesaving interventions as part of the EMS response. You will also assist higher level providers on scene and during transport.
Now is the chance to really give back to your community. YOU can save lives! Help people in need. Make a difference! This course meets all Connecticut requirements. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to take the State Exams and become a CT Certified EMR.
WHEN: Dec. 4 through Feb. 12. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. and one Saturday–Feb. 9 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.. No classes Dec. 25, Dec 27, or Jan 1.
