Fall Birdwatching at Woodcock

Join Woodcock Nature Center staff member and avid birder Tommy McCarthy for a guided birdwatching walk! Fall means birds are migrating back to their southern homes, so species will be stopping here in Connecticut to refuel for the long journey ahead. On this walk we will talk about how birds prepare for migration, learn about some of the species traveling back to the tropics, and discuss what birds will be remaining with us or arriving for the winter. If you are new to birdwatching, you are sure to learn about at least one species you have never heard of! Bringing binoculars is recommended.
This program is geared more towards adults, although kids are still welcome. Registration is required. Register on the Woodcock Nature Center website.
