Friends of Weir Farm NHP Dragonfly Family Fun Day

The Friends of Weir Farm National Historical Park will host a family fun day on Saturday, Aug. 6, focusing on dragonflies, with fun dragonfly crafts and coloring. Find out how the park monitors mercury pollution through dragonfly larvae. Learn about the water cycle, and complete your own water cycle activity.

Stop by the Friends of Weir Farm tent near the visitor center from 1-4 p.m. for an afternoon of special Junior Ranger activities. Earn a Junior Ranger Badge by completing one of the fun dragonfly activities!

While you are at the park, hike to the pond to see dragonflies, or Take Part in Art and create your very own work of art with art supplies you can borrow! Step back into history and tour the Weir House and artists’ studios. Or, go on an Art Bears Scavenger Hunt and check out the colorful new outdoor Art Bears installation. All activities are free and open to ‘kids’ of all ages. Rain or shine.
