Friends of Weir Farm NHP Dragonfly Family Fun Day

The Friends of Weir Farm will host a Family Fun Day focusing on dragonflies, with fun dragonfly crafts, coloring and activities. Find out how Weir Farm National Historic Park monitors mercury pollution through dragonfly larvae. Learn about the water cycle, and complete your own water cycle activity.

Stop by the Friends of Weir Farm tent near the Visitor Center from 1 to 4 p.m. for an afternoon of special Junior Ranger activities. Earn a Junior Ranger Badge by completing one of the fun dragonfly activities.

While you are at the park, hike to the Weir Pond or Take Part in Art and create your very own artwork! Step back into history and tour the Weir House and artists’ studios. Go on an Art Bears Scavenger Hunt and check out the colorful outdoor Art Bear installation. All activities are free and open to ‘kids’ of all ages. Rain or shine.
