Genealogy Research — One-on-One Sessions
January 7 @ 10:15 am - 2:15 pm

Have you been interested in your ancestry? It’s time to get started. Meet one-on-one with a Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) lineage research specialist at Wilton Library during a 45-minute private session on Saturday, Jan. 7, between 10:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. The DAR researchers are specialists in lineage research back to the late 1700s. But even if you have immigrant ancestors who arrived in the 19th and 20th centuries, we can help you connect to them and get you started in those countries.
The event is co-sponsored by Wilton Library and the Drum Hill Chapter of the DAR. There are limited slots available. Register by calling Mary Bendix at 203.247.1691 with your preferred time, research interest, and contact information. Be sure to bring your research plan and any copies of documents you may have to support your research so we can help you get started.
The DAR is a non-political women’s service organization whose members come from a variety of backgrounds and interests who all share a common bond of having an ancestor who helped contribute to securing the independence of the United States of America. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to join.
