Learn American Sign Language

October 19, 2023 @ 5:30 pm
Event Series (See All)
$45 – $60

American Sign Language (ASL) is a Connecticut invention. Created by faculty and founders of the American School for the Deaf in Hartford during the early 19th century, it was inspired by several other sign languages developed in both Europe and America. Today, ASL is used by hundreds of thousands of people across the United States to communicate.

Join the Wilton Historical Society in exploring ASL through a four part series that will offer an introduction to learning the language as well as its history. Classes will be held on four consecutive Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on October 19, October 26, November 2, and November 9.

Registration is required and is for all four classes. Admission for the full course is $45 for Wilton Historical Society members and $60 for non-members.

Please register on the Wilton Historical Society website or by email.
