Once Upon a Time — Historical Read-Aloud

Get ready for a day of excitement and learning as the Wilton Historical Society partners with Wilton High School’s National Honor Society to present “Once Upon a Time!” a new program to get local kids excited about history. Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 20, from 12-4 p.m. at the Wilton Historical Society.

“Once Upon a Time” features an afternoon of entertainment for the whole family. Visitors can join read-alouds of historical fiction books led by high school students to learn about life in the past. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view many of the Historical Society’s exciting exhibits, such as Connecticut’s History, Wilton’s Story, an exhibit that shows how Wilton has evolved from a small New England agricultural village to today’s rich, suburban environment. When not listening to read-alouds in the Historical Society’s various period rooms or viewing artifacts from Wilton’s past, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy delicious seasonal treats while doing fun, historically-themed activities.

This is a free, drop-in event! Perfect for families and kids of all ages. Registration is requested, but not required. Register online.
