Patriots’ Day Celebration

Celebrate Patriots’ Day with Hillside Cemetery. Wilton actually played an important role during the Revolutionary War. A surprisingly large number of over 300 men from Wilton served in military units under Captain Samuel Comstock and Major General Israel Putnam.

Meet at the Never Forget Garden at Hillside to commemorate Patriots’ Day! There will be remarks on the significance of Patriots’ Day and a reading of the names of 42 Patriots buried in three cemeteries: Hillside, Comstock, and Sharp Hill. Participants will place flags at the gravesites of each Patriot.
