Pysanky Ukrainian Egg Decorating at Ambler Farm
March 29 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$30 – $35
Learn the ancient craft of Ukrainian egg decorating and enjoy a night out with friends! In Ukraine, egg decorating is an important art form that dates back centuries. Known as pysanky, these Ukrainian eggs are decorated using a wax-resist (batik) method which incorporates brightly and intricately colored symbols and shapes often taken from Slavic folk art. These decorated eggs are found in many parts of eastern Europe.
Decorate your eggs in a traditional Ukrainian design or create your own. Cheese, crackers and accompaniments to nibble on will be provided. You are invited to bring along your drink of choice.
In solidarity with Ukraine, please consider making a donation to Save the Children-Ukraine.
$30 for Friends of Ambler Farm members; $35 for non-members. Register on the Ambler Farm website.
