WLA/SCORE: Simple Steps to a Well-Run Business — Operate

The first session of this three-part workshop series at Wilton Library focuses on the current state of a business — the people and the numbers. This will discuss how to better understand the financials and key metrics, as well as optimizing relationships with the business’ people: employees, clients and suppliers.

What will be covered:
– Understanding the relationship between profitability and cash flow — and why to focus on both
– Visualizing key trends
– Identifying key metrics that define your business
– Tools to track your financial information
–  Why relationships are key to business success
– Noting the various relationships your business has: employees, customers, vendors, and how to maximize them
