Trackside to Host Free Community Thanksgiving Meal

Trackside Teen Center has announced it will host a “special communal Thanksgiving meal bringing together teens, families, and community members to celebrate the spirit of friendship and gratitude.”
The event will take place at Trackside (15 Station Rd.) on Monday, Nov. 18, from 6-8 p.m., offering an opportunity for community members to sit down together, enjoy a relaxing meal and connect.
“The idea of opening our doors to the community and making this a potluck dinner, asking those who attend to bring a dish that means something to their family, felt like the perfect way to connect, celebrate and learn a little bit about each other,” Trackside Executive Director Lori Fields said.
The event is open to the entire Wilton community. Attendees are encouraged to bring a potluck dish with special meaning to their family during the holiday season as well as a non-perishable item for the Wilton Food Pantry. Interested residents can learn more, sign up and see a list of items needed (both for the community meal as well as for the food pantry) on the Trackside website.
“This giving meal is about more than just food,” Trackside Program and Executive Assistant Liz Sims said. “It’s a chance to come together as a community, support each other, and ensure no one feels alone this holiday season. We pride ourselves on offering a welcoming, joyful space for teens and are excited to open our doors to the rest of the community, offering them a glimpse into the magic that is Trackside.”
Trackside staff said the intention is to create a “festive, inclusive atmosphere that celebrates the diversity and unique stories of every individual who walks through the doors.”
