Fleur De Lis Dance Academy is holding a Ladies’ Night Out event today, to support its non-profit Encore Youth Company. Encore offers professional dance instruction and etiquette education through community outreach programs and scholarships to young dancers ages 2-18 who would otherwise be unable to afford to participate in these programs.   The event is today, Thursday, June 11 at 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 6:30-9:30 p.m.. There is no entry fee to attend.

The Ladies’ Night Out will offer music and activities, including wine, chocolate buffet and raffle, nail polish changes, styling consultation, social media and professional head shots, dancing and more. All the activities will have a glass donations bowl if a guest chooses to donate.

The participating businesses include Rodin & Fields, Justin Baiad Photography, One Hope Wine, Stella & Dot, Peter’s Market, Usborne Books, and Venture Photography.

Fleur de Lis’s director Michele Sperry hopes that the event will help raise $15,000 to support 10 dancers and underwrite the cost of live chamber orchestra music to play full-length ballet scores to give the company’s dancers the same experience as professional ballet dancers.

“What is the most special thing about this event – the guests will have a great time, the local children will benefit, and I have met some incredibly generous and like-minded business in our community,” Sperry says.

Encore Youth Company is a non-profit, 501c3 outreach program offering professional dance instruction and etiquette education through community outreach programs to children ages 2-18 and by offering full and partial scholarships to the Fleur de Lis Dance Company and Fleur de Lis Dance Academy to young dancers who would otherwise be unable to afford to participate in these programs. Encore Youth Company has underwritten over $75,000 in numerous dance and etiquette programs in Fairfield County and provided full or partial program scholarships to hundreds of families in the area.
