The Gilbert & Bennett Cultural Center is showing a screening of the documentary film,  A Georgetown Story this Sunday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m..

The movie is a cinematic love story to a small mill town. Three residents and two historians team up to trace the history of the Gilbert & Bennett wire mill and the community that grew up around it from 1788 to 1988, when the mill closed. With period vignettes, archival still and film images, and original music, A Georgetown Story was produced by JEM Films and directed by John Maher for The Georgetown History Project. The running time is 54 minutes.

A suggested $5 donation will benefit the Gilbert & Bennett Scholarship Fund. The G & B Cultural Center is located at 49 New St. in Wilton.
