18 Forest Ln. was originally built in 1820 on 27 Danbury Rd. and saved from demolition in 1988 when Walter R.T. Smith, (master builder, preservationist and a building historian for the Wilton Historical Society) recognized its historic value and asked the owner’s permission to take it down and reconstruct it. The house was carefully rebuilt on the property where it still stands today. (Source: The Hour)
