Did you know that nail polish, certain arts and crafts supplies, even your child’s chemistry kit contain hazardous materials? Clear out your bathroom cabinets, toy shelves, basement and garage, and take advantage of Wilton’s Annual Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, Oct. 25. Bring these materials listed on the town website to Miller-Driscoll School, 214 Wolfpit Rd., between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to safely dispose of your household and automotive hazardous waste free of charge.
Our weekly “Eco Tips” series is a collaboration between GOOD Morning Wilton, Wilton Go Green and the Middlebrook Recycling Club, under the direction of teacher Janet Nobles. The tips will help teach readers more about environmental sustainability and eco-awareness, and will feature a range of easy and earth-friendly, sustainable ideas that can save Wilton residents and homeowners money while improving their quality of life.
