Augustus Gloop, Violet Beauregarde, Mike Teavee, Veruca Salt, and Charlie Bucket. Everyone knows the names of these famous Golden Ticket winners from Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka. And now five lucky Wilton kids will have the chance to add their names to that group.
To celebrate bringing their own upcoming production of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka to the Middlebrook stage, the cast from Wilton Children’s Theater will be selling their very own Wonka Bars this Sunday, Oct. 15 at the Village Market from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and again at the Wilton Chamber of Commerce Halloween Stroll on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 12-2 p.m.. Five of those Wonka Bars will have a Golden Ticket hidden inside the wrapper.
Each of the five lucky children who find Golden Tickets hidden in the Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Wonka Bars will be given two front row tickets to a performance of the show on the date of their choice. All winners must redeem their Golden Tickets by Friday, Nov. 3 by sending an e-mail with their choice of performance date.
All shows will be held at Middlebrook Auditorium on the following dates: Friday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 18 at 4 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m..
No worries if you don’t find a Golden Ticket inside your Wonka Bar. There are still many chances to purchase tickets for the show. Tickets will be available for sale at Village Market and at Middlebrook School the week before the show, and on the Wilton Children’s Theater website. Tickets cost $12 each. Exact dates and times of ticket sales will be available on the website.
