GOOD To Know: Wilton’s New Starbucks Opens

Wilton’s new Starbucks is now open! Located at 15 River Rd., the Wilton Center restaurant relocated from its former location across the street at 21 River Rd. as part of the plans its landlord, Kimco Realty, has to demolish and redevelop that building into apartments. Starbucks was the last of the remaining retail tenants at 21 River Rd. to vacate the premises.

Wilton High School’s Little Theater Club is once again bringing audiences its improv show, “Freeplay, A Night of Improv Comedy presents ComedySportz.”

The students have worked hard with head coach, Glenn Packman, the co-owner of ComedySportz New York, and they’re excited to present an “all-you-can-laugh fest!”

The ComedySportz website describes the show as “a fast paced, interactive improvised comedy show played as a sport. Two teams of improvisers face off funny bone to funny bone and vie for applause and laughter.” The improvisers will interact with audiences as anything ranging from on-stage ‘competitors’ to referees, scorekeepers, vendors and even sound-effects.

Performances will be held on Thursday, Jan. 8; Friday, Jan. 9; and Saturday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. each evening. Tickets can be purchased online and reserved in advance. Tickets are $10 for students/seniors and $15 for adults.

This year’s Varsity Cast includes Nicole Allers, Rohit Bharadwaj, Ben Cannavino, Harper Crawford, Annabel Darst, Haldan Dickinson, Sofie Gibboney, Zach Helgesen, Emma Kong, Lucia Kwei, Alex MacDonald, Finley MacDonald, TJ McCormack, Kara Mobyed, Adam Nevas, Alexander Piazza, Gavin Rafferty, McKenna Rooney, Adam Savvaides, Nikisha Shivram, Nick Somma, Grant Stein, Noah van den Heuvel and Hayden Zapotosky.

The Junior Varsity Cast includes Catherine Adams, Marcus Bassani, Charlotte Cates, El Clayton, Quinn Cooper, Ari Epstein, Evelina Fox, Evan Johnson, Finney Leonard, Tanner Livesay, Darcie Mayell, Caroline Morris, Jeffrey Nesheiwat and Alex Shiue.
