GOOD To Stay Cool: Wilton Under Heat Advisory with Extreme Temperatures Expected Tuesday Into Wednesday
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Wilton, effective Tuesday, July 14 at 2:25 a.m. until Wednesday, July 15 at 9 p.m.
Heat index values are expected to reach 101 degrees over portions of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey and southeast New York, from noon on Tuesday until 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
Officials warn that the very hot temperatures and high humidity pose a danger for causing heat illnesses.

GOOD To Shop, Eat, Play and Explore: Wilton’s Street Fair and Sidewalk Sale is This Saturday

Get ready for a day of excitement and community spirit as the Wilton Chamber of Commerce presents the 14th Annual Wilton Street Fair and Sidewalk Sales this Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. (rain or shine), as Wilton Center transforms into a vibrant hub of activity and entertainment. It’s a prime opportunity for residents and visitors alike to enjoy a day filled with bargains, fun and delicious treats.
There’s a full day of entertainment planned for the whole family — even for any furry friends. Enjoy music, live performances and a variety of new activities centered around the gazebo, including the “Touch-a-Truck” that features vehicles from the Wilton Fire Department, Wilton Police Department, Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Wilton CERT.
Wilton Library joins the festivities with an outdoor summer book sale some of its best bargains of the year. Plus there are several interactive activities throughout the lineup on Old Ridgefield Rd., including face-painting, inflatable games, magicians, balloon characters, street performers, kids’ crafts, live animal encounters, and sand art. There will also be several food and beverage options.
“This summer festival is more than just the Chamber’s biggest event of the year—it’s a celebration of our community and its incredible spirit,” Wilton Chamber Executive Director Camille Carriero said.
