GOOD To Dive In: Join the Wilton Y Wahoos Swim Team!
The Wilton Y Wahoos Swim Team are holding tryouts for the 2026-2027 season.
The Wahoos are a year-round competitive swim team that provides a safe, skill-based environment for swimmers to reach their fullest potential, both in and out of the water.
Swimmers aged 6-18 experience development and steady progression through the stages of competitive swimming with opportunities to compete at the regional, state, zone and national level.
“The Wahoos staff is committed to developing each swimmer’s personal potential through excellence in swimming while fostering a safe, healthy and positive environment for all Wahoos,” Wahoos Swim Team Director Eric Holden said.
The Wilton Y Wahoos are accepting registration for the 2026-2027 Competitive Season and scheduling evaluations. Evaluations will take approximately 20 minutes. Swimmers in each age group must meet a minimum criteria. Visit the Wilton Y Wahoos website for more information and to register.
Tryouts will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, Tuesday, Aug. 25 and Wednesday, Aug. 26.
GOOD To Know: Out of Town Wilton workers can get Wilton Library cards
People who work in Wilton but live in other towns are eligible to apply for a Wilton Library card with access to digital resources normally available to residents only.
A Wilton Library card opens up a world of information, entertainment and educational resources, including LinkedIn Learning, The New York Times Online and much more.
Non-residents are encouraged to stop by and visit the library. Officials say there’s always something to discover — work spaces, programs for all ages, concerts, art exhibits, a newly renovated courtyard and the collections.

GOOD To Fife & Drum: Learn about Music During The Revolution at Wilton Historical Society
As part of this year’s commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution, the Wilton Historical Society is holding a presentation about music during the Revolution by Christine Hauck on Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 7–8 p.m.
Join lecturer Hauck for a program focusing on the American Revolutionary Era (1763–1783) and what the residents of Wilton in 1776 would have been listening to at the time. Christine will share her research journey to identify the top composers or music makers of the area and the types of music popular in 1776 from patriotic and marching songs to social and dance music, to psalms and symphonies.
Registration is required online. Wilton Historical Society members can attend for free; the cost for non-members is $10.
