GOOD Community Member: Camille Carriero Named May’s ‘Community Champion’ by Wilton Coalition for Youth

Camille Carriero has been named the Wilton Coalition for Youth’s May 2026 Community Champion. As part of the #WiltonIsWhereYouBelong campaign, the Coalition spotlights one individual each month for their positive influence, work or commitment to the Wilton community.
If you’ve visited the Wilton Farmer’s Market, you’ve likely encountered Carriero warmly greeting vendors and shoppers alike. As the Wilton Chamber of Commerce‘s executive director, she dedicates her energy to supporting, connecting and growing local Wilton businesses and bringing residents together through the Chamber’s numerous community events throughout the year.
According to the Coalition, town-wide gatherings hosted by the Chamber, such as the Farmers Market, Street Fair, Pumpkin Parade, Holiday Stroll and Winter Carnival are “essential to cultivating community engagement” in Wilton, bringing together businesses, nonprofits and residents, to lay the “groundwork for community-building” and offer “a way for community members of diverse backgrounds to get to know each other and the town.”
Carriero’s commitment extends beyond the Chamber as president of the Wilton Rotary Club, where she coordinates local volunteer efforts to support family services, education and community well-being — including providing dictionaries to every third grader in Wilton Public Schools. She has also strengthened the Wilton Rotary’s relationships with neighboring chapters through collaborative service projects, including a meal packing initiative.
The Wilton Coalition for Youth is made up of a myriad of organizations, town departments and individuals who serve youth and families in Wilton, and is spearheaded by the Wilton Youth Council. Coalition members collaborate on efforts aimed at preventing substance misuse and promoting mental health and emotional well-being of youth and families. The Community Champion program was launched in 2024 and is ending on a high note with Camille’s award.
