GOOD Family Fun: Don’t Miss the Return of the Miller-Driscoll Carnival

The Miller-Driscoll Spring Carnival is back this weekend, promising a “better than ever” experience and plenty of fun for families across Wilton. The three-day event runs Friday, May 1 from 6-10 p.m., Saturday, May 2 from 12-10 p.m., and Sunday, May 3 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., with activities and entertainment rotating throughout the weekend.
Organized by the Miller-Driscoll PTA, the carnival is the school’s largest fundraiser of the year, bringing together the community for a lively mix of rides, games and hands-on attractions. New ride and game vendors are part of this year’s lineup, along with exciting new additions (some activities require additional charge):
- Toddler Town (Sat. & Sun., weather dependent) — for ages 6 and under, with soft play, a giant ball pit, slide and an inflatable race track; plus story time and hands-on sensory stations
- Makers Town (Sat. & Sun.) — a hands-on corner where creativity and curiosity come to life. Explore a variety of interactive tents, with a mix of art, science and imagination that invites everyone to create, play and discover something new. (Flower market, STEM activities, woodworking, textiles, and Beauty Tent)
- Euro Bungee — Experience the thrill of bungee jumping without the risks, harnessed onto gravity defying bungee cords and jumping over two stories high
Food is also a big draw, with a wide range of local vendors participating across the weekend. Options include everything from pizza and falafel to lobster rolls, tacos, sweet treats and soft serve, with vendors rotating to keep things fresh for repeat visitors.
Sunday kicks off with a designated sensory hour from 11 a.m.-12 p.m., offering a quieter, more accessible experience for families with younger children or sensory sensitivities.
GOOD To Attend: Wilton to Hold 2nd Annual Community Cultural Celebration

As part of the #WiltonIsWhereYouBelong campaign, the Wilton Coalition for Youth is hosting the 2nd annual Community Cultural Celebration on Saturday, May 2, from 12-3 p.m. at the Riverbrook Regional/Wilton YMCA.
This free event is an opportunity to unite the Wilton community, showcasing the diverse cultures that make up the town through dance, music, dress, kids’ crafts and food from around the world.
Attendees can visit booths from 15 countries and interact with and learn from each other, bringing together representatives from various cultures to showcase their unique heritage and educate the Wilton community about their traditions and culture. There will also be demonstrations from nine countries throughout the day. Residents will be representing Canada, China, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Greece, Honduras, India, Iran, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Serbia and South Korea.
Kids can travel the world with the Passport Program to collect stickers from each country when they stop by their table, as a way to connect what students are learning and doing in the classroom.
