GOOD Gourd! Wilton Kiwanis Thanks Community After Pumpkin Sale Tops $50,000

The Wilton Kiwanis Club is extending thanks to shoppers and volunteers who supported this year’s Great Wilton Pumpkin Sale, which generated more than $50,000 in sales — its second-highest total in 12 years. Net proceeds will benefit local organizations.
The club offered special thanks to Trackside Teen Center’s Lori Fields, John Priest, Liz Sims and teen volunteers for staffing the patch over Indigenous Peoples Day weekend — sales made over that weekend benefitted the teen center — and to Wilton Historical Society Director Nick Foster and staff for hosting the sale for the 12th consecutive year.
Kiwanis plans to return in September 2027 with “Pumpkins With a Purpose.”

The Riverbrook Regional YMCA will transform its Wilton branch into an 18-hole indoor mini golf course for “Meet Me on the Green,” a Nov. 6-7 fundraiser benefiting its Financial Assistance Program.
The weekend begins with a 21-and-older “Par-Tee” on Friday, Nov. 6, from 7:30-10 p.m., featuring mini golf, food, cocktails, wine, beer, nonalcoholic beverages, contests and prizes.
Families can play Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., with mini golf, games and family activities.

GOOD Scouting: Five Wilton Troop 125 Scouts Earn Eagle Rank

Five members of Wilton’s Troop 125 — Brenden Avizov, Christopher Rainone, Enzo Calo, Sam Manson and Vivaan Uttamchandani — earned the rank of Eagle Scout, Scouting’s highest rank. The troop celebrated their achievements at an Oct. 25 Eagle Court of Honor at Hoyt Scout Reservation in Redding, with more than 100 family members, friends, Scout leaders and community supporters in attendance as each Scout received a state citation recognizing his accomplishment.
Each Scout led a community service project:
- Avizov built five wooden benches to provide outdoor seating at the Wilton Historical Society.
- Rainone built three elevated boardwalks with stepping stones along Woodcock Nature Center’s Orange Trail to help hikers navigate muddy areas.
- Calo refurbished a trail entrance at the Wilton Land Conservation Trust’s Harrison Smith Preserve, adding steps and drainage improvements to address erosion and hazardous conditions.
- Manson built an outdoor meditation station at Middlebrook School, providing students with a space for reflection.
- Uttamchandani built two mobile robotics storage carts with workspaces to benefit Wilton Library’s Singularity Technology robotics team through the Robotics Catalyst Foundation, which he co-founded.
Calo and Uttamchandani also served as elected senior patrol leaders. Avizov, Rainone, Calo and Uttamchandani completed National Youth Leadership Training, while Rainone, Calo and Uttamchandani were inducted into the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s national honor society.
