GOOD To Be Safe: Program for Seniors on “What You Need to Know About Scams”

Join Wilton Police Sgt. Jonathan Patry and Lt. David Hartman at Wilton Library for an informative presentation on “What you Need to Know About Scams,” designed to help seniors recognize, avoid and respond to scams. The presentation, co-sponsored by Stay at Home in Wilton, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. in the library’s Rimer Room.
Patry and Hartman will explain how scammers operate and manipulate their victims and identify important warning signs to watch for. Attendees will learn practical steps they can take to protect themselves and their personal information, as well as what to do and who to contact if they believe they have been the victim of a scam. This presentation will give seniors the knowledge and confidence they need to recognize suspicious activity before becoming a victim and to know that help is available if a scam does occur.
Registration is required on the Wilton Library website. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows.
