A very beautiful week (Aug. 28-Sept. 3) is ahead in Wilton. The weather will be great to get your last bit of summer in before school resumes the following week.

Monday, August 28:  On Monday, it’s going to be gorgeous, featuring partly cloudy skies due to some high clouds overhead and very low humidity. Highs will be cooler than average into the mid 70s, so you’ll probably want a light jacket or sweatshirt at the start and end of the day.

Tuesday, August 29:  Tuesday will be the cloudiest day this week, even though it won’t be terribly cloudy. I’m forecasting clouds to clear to sunshine as the day progresses. The reason for the clouds is because there will likely be a tropical storm well to our south and just off the East Coast.

Wednesday, August 30:  Because upper-level winds are coming out of the west, those winds will protect us from any tropical trouble, therefore pushing that tropical system out to sea. With that storm further away from, we’ll see more in the way of sunshine with mostly sunny skies shining overhead.

Thursday, August 31:  A disturbance will swing through the Northeast on Thursday with some showers along it. I think those showers will stay to our north, however, so we can expect another dry day with mostly sunny skies and a high into the low 80s.

Friday, September 1:  A new area of high pressure will move in beginning Friday. That high will reinforce the sunshine and dry air–what perfect timing for Labor Day weekend! Expect abundant sunshine on Friday with very low humidity.

Saturday, September 2:  The air will remain crisp heading into Saturday as temperatures remain in the low 70s with the fall-like air mass. It will be another very sunny day as well.

Sunday, September 3:  Temperatures may warm up briefly on Sunday into the low 80s. This will be a great day to host any outdoor events for the holiday weekend as it will be dry and mostly sunny.

SNEAK PEEK:  On Labor Day next Monday, the weather is looking great with sunshine and dry conditions. Fingers crossed this weather can hold to end summer!
