An evening of contra-dancing, reels, line-dances, square dancing and more is planned for Saturday evening, Nov. 4 at the Cannon Grange Barn Dance. All of the dances will be called by Bill Fischer of Bethany, CT who will provide easy to follow instruction for dancers of all skill levels. Fischer will be accompanied by instrumentalists playing fiddle, drums and keyboard. Children, youth and adults are welcome to join in the fun of the evening dances for singles and couples.

Fischer hails from Bethany, CT and has been calling dances for over thirty years. He calls contra dances in and around the northeast, and has done likewise at many dance camps both regionally and nationally.

“A barn dance is a lot of fun, and also a great way to meet people,” says Grange member, Karen Tartell.

Tickets are $10 per person (a flat fee for children, teens, adults and seniors) and can be purchased at the door, or pre-paid online. Parking is available at the Cannondale railroad station across the road from the Grange Hall.
