We’re sad to report that the Green Leaf Organic Bakery and Cafe has closed.
Monday morning the restaurant windows were spotted covered with paper and a sign was attached to the front door saying the following:
“This business is closed, pursuant to the authority of the Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee.”
The restaurant opened in the summer of 2012, and was a quick hit with Wilton residents, and it received great reviews. The restaurant recently expanded to two other locations in Norwalk, opening kiosks at the medical building at 40 Cross St. as well as SoNo Marketplace. The kiosk at the Cross St. location is reportedly still open.
Readers on GMW’s Facebook page were disappointed when we reported the news on Monday, with many echoing the feeling, “So sad!”
Owners Paul Osakwe and Robin Marvin weren’t available for comment. We’ll bring you more news as we learn anything else about what happened and if there is a chance the bakery might reopen.
