The Wilton branch of the Riverbrook YMCA was packed for the third year in a row with over 300 high-flying gymnasts this past weekend, Dec. 10-11. Seven teams from Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island competed at Wilton’s Snowflake Invitational.

Three Wilton team members–Ashley Umhoefer, Jeni von Bartheld and Olivia Mannino–were All-Around (AA) Champions for their levels’ age-group divisions. The Level 5 squad took 2nd place; Levels 3, 6 and 7 took 3rd places; and Level 4 took 4th place.

Level 3

In the age 9 group, Cailyn Cruickshank finished 4th on beam, 5th on floor (9.0) and scored a 9.45 on vault. In the age 10 group, Kaelyn Talisse finished 3rd AA and placed 2nd on beam (9.0) and floor (9.05) and 4th (9.525) on vault. Teagan Stengrim placed 4th on beam and scored a 9.0 on vault. Among the age 11 group of competitors, Jeni von Bartheld was AA Champion, placing 1st on bars (9.5) and beam (9.3), 3rd on floor (9.1) and 5th on vault (9.2). Geneva Southworth placed 3rd AA with 3rd place finishes on vault (9.6) and bars (9.2). Ella Mancuso placed 4th AA, placing 1st on floor (9.4) and 3rd on beam(9.2). Sophia Vitti placed 5th AA with 1st on vault (9.8) and 5th on floor. Elizabeth Fahey placed 4th on vault (9.5) and beam (9.1) and 5th on floor. Isabella Silverstein placed 3rd on vault (9.6) and Fiona Walsh scored a 9.0 on vault. In ages 12+, Mckayla Iacoponi placed 3rd AA, 2nd on beam (9.0), and 4th on vault (9.550) and floor. Maddie Mosquera placed 2nd on beam (9.0), 3rd on floor and earned a 9.1 on vault.

Level 4

For ages 9-10, Alyssa Mariani placed 2nd on vault, 5th on bars and scored 9.0 on floor. Lauren Condon placed 5th on vault. Among the age 11 group, Alyssa Smeriglio placed 4th AA, 2nd on bars (9.2) and 3rd on floor (9.3). Ella Arghirescu placed 5th on beam (9.05). For ages 12+, Isabella Giordano placed 2nd on floor (9.1). Simona Gheorghe placed 3rd on vault (9.2) and 4th on beam. Samantha Bauer placed 4th on vault and 5th on bars. Gemma Huck placed 3rd on floor (9.05).

Level 5

Ashley Umhoefer was AA Champion in the 9-11 age group, placing 1st on floor (9.5) and bars (9.35), 2nd on vault (9.6) and 5th on beam. In the 12+ age group, Alyson Scheurkogel placed 2nd AA, with 1st on bars (9.25), 2nd on beam (9.1), 3rd on floor (9.1) and 5th on vault (9.2). Kaylie Berghaus placed 4th AA, with 1st on bars (9.25), 4th on floor (9.05) and scored 9.1 on vault. Chloe Jureller placed 2nd on vault (9.5) and floor (9.2). Ava Walker placed 4th on beam. Michaela Kane placed 3rd on bars and scored 9.0 on vault. Donna Stepnowsky placed 5th on floor (9.0) and scored 9.05 on vault.

Level 6

Olivia Mannino was the AA Champion in the 12-14 age group, placing 1st on bars (9.2), 2nd on beam (9.55), 5th on floor (9.0) and vault. Peyton Gildersleeve placed 2nd on vault (9.15). Isabella Jureller placed 3rd on beam (9.35) and 4th on vault (9.0). Emily D’Onofrio placed 4th on vault (9.0). Emilia Riina placed 4th on floor (9.05) and 5th on bars. For ages 15+, Jenna Smeriglio placed 3rd AA, with 2nd on floor and 3rd on bars, beam and vault.

Level 7

In ages 7-11, Sarah Cross placed 2nd AA, with 2nd on floor (9.0), vault (9.0), bars and beam. Mia Karlehag placed 3rd AA, with 3rd on vault (9.0), bars, beam, and floor. Sarah Collins scored a 9.1 on vault in the 12-14 age group. For ages 15+, Kate Ginsburg placed 2nd AA and 1st on bars, 2nd on beam (9.2), 3rd on vault (9.0) and 5th on floor. Alyssa Jarrett placed 5th AA, with 3rd on bars, and 4th on floor, and 5th beam and vault.

Level 8

In the 16+ age group, Alessandra Uriarte placed 2nd AA, with 1st on bars and beam and 2nd on vault.
