Only two home sales were recorded last week. Following the prior week’s count of two, it seems as if the Wilton real estate market is tapering for the season. The home sales that the Town Clerk recorded last week include:
- Trofa Enterprises, LLC sold 74 Horseshoe Rd. to Brian and Elizabeth McKay for $615,000.
- Michele Bryant sold 22 West Church St. to Joshua and Shelby Ann Loud for $505,000.

Despite historically low interest rates, it continues to be difficult for young families to buy homes in Wilton. Projected school enrollment is down by 42 students. High taxes that fund unnecessary and wasteful services only add to the financial strains preventing home purchases. It’s time for the Wilton to learn how to compete with neighboring towns. Big government is self-defeating.
