Joanne Leslie Ravich, 66, of Wilton, passed away on July 7, 2025. She was the beloved wife of George, the devoted daughter of Roz and Marty, the adoring mother of Erica and Amanda (Nick), and the proud, loving grandmother to Maeve, Mila, Savannah and Summer.
Joanne grew up in Howard Beach, NY. She attended John Adams High School, where she formed a close-knit group of friends who remained by her side throughout her life. Joanne graduated from the University at Buffalo and went on to attend the NYU Stern School of Business, where she met the love of her life, George. Joanne and George shared a romantic courtship in New York City and began their beautiful marriage in 1983.
Joanne built a successful career in sales for property management companies, but her greatest devotion was always to her family. She was an extraordinary mother, always putting her children first, celebrating their every accomplishment and filling their lives with joy and opportunity. She was her family members’ best advocate and biggest cheerleader. Joanne was the heart of their close, loving family unit.
Beyond her family, Joanne touched the lives of countless friends. She had a magnetic personality that drew people towards her and an empathetic and thoughtful nature that kept friends close.
Over the past three years, Joanne faced her battle with cancer with extraordinary courage and grace. Even in her most difficult moments, she continued to inspire those around her with her strength and unwavering optimism.
Joanne’s warmth and positivity touched everyone she met. She was beautiful inside and out and will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved her.
