BREAKING NEWS, Friday, Sept. 18, 3:45 p.m.–The Wilton Republican Town Committee has selected Ken Dartley to replace James Saxe on the Board of Selectmen, it was confirmed today by RTC chair Al Alper.

Alper said that Dartley put his own name up for consideration and there were no other individuals who volunteered or were considered. However, the vote was not unanimous, according to Alper.

Dartley’s name will be presented to the Board of Selectmen at their next meeting on Monday evening, Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m., at which time the selectmen must vote on his nomination to replace Saxe.  If approved by the BoS , Dartley will complete Saxe’s term, which expires in Nov. 2017.

Saxe resigned at the last BoS meeting on Sept. 8.

This is a developing story and we’ll update when news is available.

  1. Ken Dartley is an inspired choice to join the BofS. I would think that Bill Brennan would be pleased that a seasoned citizen from his own party would be allowed to serve.

  2. Hello Mike and Ray,
Yes, it would make sense to continue to be a high tax Town with no amenities to show for it and declining school teat scores. Makes sense!
I think Lynne and Ken will see us through this to make this a better community that people will want to come and live in.
