Ladies’ Soirée was ‘Glamourous and Groovy Evening’ [PHOTOS]
To the Editor:
It was a glamourous and groovy evening Thursday, Oct. 3 when the women of Wilton gathered to raise funds for the 20th Annual Ladies’ Soiree benefiting Wilton Library. We hosted more ladies than ever before at this event in expanded areas of Wilton Library including the Reading Room, which was transformed into a cozy conversation area with inspired Disco decor. We also included unique entertainment in the Brubeck Room, a never-been-done before Silent Disco for the gals in town to let their hair down and boogie!
As usual, businesses, volunteers and individuals rallied around donations, sponsorships and bidding opportunities to support the wonderful programs and services for Wilton Library. We are excited to announce that the event exceeded last year’s revenues! Special thanks to our event sponsors: Bankwell, Crestwood Advisors, Georgetown Financial Group Inc., Eco Chic, and Olympian Fencing Studio. We are also most grateful to our in-kind donors: Janet & Michael Crystal, Diageo, JetBlue, PepsiCo, Sweet Pierre’s and TraceyLocke; and Media Sponsors: TownVibe and GOOD Morning Wilton.
Attendees fully embraced the Disco era by dressing in theme, while local leadership named the “best dressed” winner, Kim Aleksiejczyk. The evening couldn’t have been such a success without the support of our Community Partners Suzi Eckert, Leti Manuel, Carrie Preisano, Regina Ray, Michelle Shia, Lana Taubin, Kacky Theoharides, and Erin Thomas. Of course we couldn’t do the event without the assistance of our amazing and dedicated library staff.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the community for their support of the Ladies’ Soiree in this special anniversary year!
