Six weeks ago, Wilton welcomed it’s newest business, Lang’s Pharmacy. With a European flair, Lang’s isn’t your typical pharmacy.

“We’re definitely a boutique pharmacy, much more like what you’d see in Europe,” owner Frank Randazzo says. “We don’t sell milk and eggs. We stick to pharmaceutical products. We know all of our customers as soon as they walk in the door, we usually know exactly what they’re looking for … we try to make sure that they’re not ever waiting for anything, and while they’re here they enjoy the boutique shopping. It’s very unique–we gift wrap, we deliver, [we’re] very service oriented.”

Randazzo owns Lang’s in Weston as well. He opened the Wilton location after hearing from so many fans.

“We were getting a lot of [Wilton] customers that were very close to the Weston border, using our pharmacy. I’ve always wanted to have a location in Wilton, and I got a lot of encouragement from them … and we opened this one.” In Wilton, Lang’s plans to expand [their] compounding.

Lang’s has been a family business for over a hundred years, ever since the early 1900’s, when the original Lang family began their pharmacy out of Yonkers. After the Langs retired, Randazzo bought the business with his brother-in-law, Peter D’Aprile, moving the family-owned tradition to a new family. Randazzo’s sister is married to D’Arprile, who she met when all three went to Northeastern University together.

This Saturday, May 20, at 11 a.m. marks Lang’s official ribbon cutting and open house, at 28 Center St.. first selectman Lynne Vanderslice will be on hand to help Randazzo and D’Aprile do the ribbon-cutting honors, along with Wilton Chamber of Commerce representatives and other community business owners.

Randazzo promises cookies, refreshments, and an array of vendors who sell their products at Lang’s, including representatives from “an organic makeup line, Gabriel, [which] is all natural, all organic, and CBD, which is a cannabinoid. The product is really effective in reducing inflammation or anxiety. They have a lot of different products which they use with CBD, everything from back pain, to facial creams, to shampoos, and special benefits that arise from the CBD,” he says

There will be a raffle for $100 gift certificates, and Lang’s will be giving away safe prescription disposal formulas, which removes chemicals when added to old prescriptions, for safe disposal.

The event runs this Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.. “Make sure you come,” Randazzo says.
