State Senator Toni Boucher and State Representative Gail Lavielle will host an “informal discussion” on the Federal Affordable Care Act and Connecticut’s Healthcare Exchange, this Thursday, Nov. 14 at 9 a.m. in the Wilton Library Brubeck’s Room.

The two lawmakers have invited panelists to discuss changes in healthcare law, and have said the topics to be covered include:

  • How will the new Health Exchange impact individuals, senior citizens or small business owners?
  • How will the new Affordable Care Act impact families?
  • Will anyone be ‘forced’ to give up current health insurance providers?
  • What is Access Health CT?
  • What is the enrollment process?
  • What about those with preexisting conditions or those on HUSKY?
  • Are there any premiums? Deductibles? What about those who are self-insured?

Coffee will also be provided, beginning at 8:45 a.m. For more information on the discussion, call 800.842.1423.
