Letter: 19TH Ambler Farm Day: A GOOD Time had by All!
To the Editor:
On a spectacular Sunday, Sept. 22, we celebrated our 19th Annual Ambler Farm Day. Thousands from Wilton and beyond attended this annual Wilton tradition that marks the beginning of fall and is an important fundraiser to support the ongoing operations of Ambler Farm.
Our most sincere appreciation to the invaluable 150-plus volunteers who make Ambler Farm Day possible—from Scarecrows to Hay Maze, Concessions to Parking–and everything in between–thank you! We also greatly appreciate the many volunteers who donated their time behind the scenes by baking pies and other goodies, rounding-up clothes for scarecrow-making and beyond.
Many thanks to our Steward Level event sponsors: GOOD Morning Wilton, The Montessori School, Fairfield County Bank, Georgetown Orthodontics and Orem’s Diner.
We would also like to acknowledge the generous support of the following businesses, organizations and individuals: Ambler Farm Apprentices, Aspetuck Apple Barn, Blue Jay Orchards, Matt Bottali, College Creamery, Curbside Compost, The Defibrillators Music, Erin Woolard, Girl Scouts, Jeff Fox Music, Kuss Farms, The Painted Cookie, Quench Buggy, Ridgefield Thrift Shop, Bob Russell, Sachuest Beach Music, Sacred Heart Bowling Team, Town of Wilton, The Turnover Shop of Wilton, Village Market, Wilton CERT, Wilton Dept. of Public Works, Wilton Family Y, Wilton Fire Dept., Wilton Go Green, Wilton Historical Society, Wilton Parks & Recreation, and Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
Last but not least, an extraordinary thanks to special events coordinator Laura Guzewicz, program director Kevin Meehan, director of agriculture Jonathan Kirschner, and assistant program director Jennifer Grass. This event could not happen without the countless hours you spend sharing your time and talents with the farm.
A final thanks to everyone who attended Ambler Farm Day! We hope you had a wonderful time, and that we will see you again next year or any time you stop by the Farm!
