To the Editor:
A thank-you to all that made another successful Halloweekend of fun events! Our great community came together despite a bad weather forecast to enjoy these annual events. The Wilton Chamber of Commerce kicked off its annual HalloWeekend, on Saturday, Oct. 27 with the Pumpkin Parade, Trick-or-Treating. Despite the rain it was another great day for hundreds of trick-or-treaters and their parents, families, friends and pets as they strolled through town collecting treats from Wilton merchants and businesses. Thank-you to Kimco Realty and Fairfield County Bank, our event sponsors, and to all our generous merchants and businesses who participated and also joined us at the Gazebo! A special thank-you to Dr. Michael Crystal, our Cat in the Hat and Janet Crystal, Jeannette Ross, and Susan Goldman for hosting our table at the Chamber and distributing an amazing number of Halloween treats! A special thank-you to the Wilton Police and CERT volunteers that helped to ensure the safety of all who participated!
The next morning, Sunday, Oct. 28, the 15th Annual Halloween Hustle 5K run and Scarecrow Scamper Kids run started at 10 a.m. in Wilton Center. We would like to thank-everyone for their contributions, as participants, sponsors and as volunteers, it could not happen without you! Thank-you so much to our 5K runner shirt sponsors, in addition to Kimco and Fairfield County Bank, Gregory and Adams, P.C., Ellen Essman CPA, Halstead Property, The Greens at Cannondale, Outdoor Sports, Untangled, Wilton Center Travel, Wilton Hardware, Village Market and Wilton Rotary Club.
