To the Editor:

On behalf of all the children with cancer and families we serve, I am writing to offer our most sincere thanks to GOOD Morning Wilton and the Wilton community for supporting our recent Care to Run 5K. This was, quite simply, an extraordinary event that exceeded our expectations and brought over 200 people together to support children with cancer.

Maybe most special, we had several families that we support there to support us. From Anna Getnerour honorary chair who started the race, to the last runner who crossed the line, who is a pediatric cancer survivor, the spirit and energy from this day will endure, thanks in large part to so many in Wilton and the surrounding communities who made this possible including: Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance, Winged Monkey, Blue Buffalo, 341 Studios, Bankwell, B Chic, Barcelona, Bartaco, Center for Advanced Pediatrics, Chase, Chou Chou, Ellen Essman, CPA, Fleet Feet Sports, Garavel, Gault Energy, Good Morning Nail, GOOD Morning Wilton, Gregory and Adams, P.C., Moore Physical Therapy, Open House, Outdoor Sports, People’s Bank, Pepsi, Snappy Gator and Sweet Pierre’s.

Children with cancer need to know we’re here to support them during treatment, and at our 5K, the Wilton community let them know very clearly that we are behind them. We are so honored to earn the support, and humbled by the generosity. Thank you for making a difference.

With gratitude from the Circle of Care community,

Liz Salguero and Dawn Ladenheim
