To the Editor:
Many states are considering legislation to minimize the negative effect of changes to the federal income tax. Connecticut should be leading this effort: per person, we give more money to the federal government than every other state except New Jersey. And the proposed changes to the federal income tax system exacerbate this problem. The clock started ticking January 1, so we need our governor and legislators to take action asap. Governor Malloy, State Senator Boucher, State Representatives Lavielle and O’Dea, what are your ideas? I see California, New York, and New Jersey working on solutions–where is Connecticut’s?
