With education costs rising year after year, paying for college is a concern for most families. Additionally the financial aid process can be confusing, intimidating, and often frustrating. Wilton Library is offering a one-hour workshop on Thursday, Jan. 11, How to Pay for College Without Bankrupting Your Family. It runs from 6-7:30 p.m..
The workshop will cover which colleges offer the best financial aid packages, how to avoid mistakes on the FAFSA and CSS profile, how students can receive more free money and less loans, why private universities can cost less than a state school, and how families of all income levels may be eligible for financial aid.
It will be presented by Sean Flynn, a financial advisor with Essex Financial and certified college planning specialist.
There is limited space available and registration recommended. To register, visit the library website or call 203.762.3950.
