Over the last three nights at Miller-Driscoll Elementary School, Wilton’s youngest scientists have been hard at work showing their theories, thought processes and scientific methods at the school’s annual science fair. Science teacher Jane Giresi said that more than 300 students in grades k-12 participated and displayed their experiments and knowledge for visitors, including parents.

Here, one of Wednesday night’s exhibitors–the brother and sister team of Liliana and Eli Finn–show Giresi their experiment, titled “Melt in Your Mouth, Not in Your Hands?” which compared M&Ms to Hershey Kisses. Interestingly their conclusions found that thanks to the hard candy shell, M&Ms melt slower than Hershey Kisses, and that the brother and sister differed on which candy was their favorite. Sounds like deliciously GOOD science from where we’re standing!
