Wilton is about to have a new community hub for yoga and wellness, and it promises to be a hot spot.
Rhoswyn Wellness, a multi-discipline yoga studio and wellness services facility, will open its doors to Wilton and surrounding communities in May. The studio, owned by accomplished Los Angeles and New York City instructor Anna Louise Williams and her husband Jerry Griffin, will feature two yoga rooms, including Wilton’s first hot yoga classes, a popular discipline for both avid practitioners and “weekend warriors” alike.
Rhoswyn Wellness will be located at 196 Danbury Rd., in the large building that anchors the back of Hastings Square. The studio will reside in the two floors in the front of the building previously occupied by Purple Frog Graphics, which has moved its operations to the adjacent Sharp Hill Square development.
Williams, who was born in Bradford, England, has been a wellness instructor for more than 14 years and holds certifications in the healing arts of Yoga (Yin, Vinyasa, Sports Science and Kids), Ayurveda, Jyotish and Reiki. The holistic, integrative suite of capabilities will form the basis of Rhoswyn Wellness’s offerings, which are rooted and organized in conjunction with the earth’s elements. Rhoswyn, pronounced “hroz-wen,” is the Welsh word for “white rose.”
“Wilton is such a warm and tight community that we really feel like we’ve got an opportunity to create not just a vibrant yoga studio with first-time offerings like hot yoga but also a hub location for the town and our neighbors in places like Weston, Westport, Ridgefield, Norwalk and New Canaan,” Williams said. “Hopefully people are attracted to the diversity of our classes and services but also recognize that we’re committed to being a part of Wilton’s growth and progress.”
Prior to arriving in Wilton in 2018 with Griffin and their 9-year-old daughter, Williams taught at high-profile studios in Los Angeles and New York City, counting among her students well-known celebrities and athletes including Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, Michael Chiklis, Broadway actress Shoshana Bean and Kaley Cuoco. For the last five years, she has taught at various Kaia Yoga locations in the region.
Rhoswyn’s initial class offerings — which will be offered not only to practicing adults but also children, teens and members of local athletes — will include:
- Yoga Flow: Dynamic practice that links breath with movement, creating a flowing sequence of poses that transition smoothly from one to the next
- Yin Yoga: Slower, more meditative practice that focuses on holding poses for extended periods to target deep connective tissues like fascia and ligaments, improving mobility and inviting deep calm
- Rhoswyn Restore: Holistic approach that combines practices from various disciplines – including joint articulation, meditation, essential oil therapy and reiki – to address physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It aims to create a balanced, harmonious state of health in the practitioner
- Core45: High-intensity, hybrid workout that blends flow with strength training exercises using weights and resistance bands. This class aims to build muscle, enhance endurance, and boost cardiovascular fitness

In subsequent months, the studio will add:
- Tween/Teen Mindfulness: Catered specifically to the developmental needs of adolescents by incorporating poses, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices that promote physical strength, emotional balance, and stress management. These classes often address issues like body image, anxiety, and self-esteem, offering tools for improved self-awareness and resilience
- Kids Yoga: Playful and imaginative practice designed to engage children through age-appropriate poses, games, and activities that enhance flexibility, strength, and coordination

In addition, Rhoswyn plans to add retreats abroad and teacher training as well as community-oriented activities such as summer camps, journaling workshops, book clubs and more. Griffin said that the company will also make its studio spaces available for rental for public and private events.
“Our goal is for Rhoswyn Wellness to be much more than a transactional class space,” Griffin said. “There are so many opportunities that will not only make the business successful but also weave us into the fabric of the community.”
