In the aftermath of winter storm Hercules, which brought a blanket of powdery snow and frigid temperatures to Wilton, Annie Clark and her team of instructors opened the door to Hello Yoga’s new studio at 80 Ridgefield Road and invited yoga students to come in from the cold.
Saturday’s soft opening included three options – Power at 8:15 AM; a new MELT class at 9:30 AM; and Practice at its new time of 10:45 AM. Judging by the numbers in attendance, people were eager to kick off the New Year by remaining resolute to take care of themselves.
Perched above B Chic and Signature Style, Hello Yoga’s new digs are more spacious than its previous location; spread out across two studios, this enables more class options, as well as private instruction. New classes and an inviting waiting room are also now available.
Hello Yoga’s new location will help Annie keep her commitment to offer a variety of classes for adults and children of all skill levels. Yoga practitioners will appreciate the expanded schedule for 2014, which include MELT, a small, toasty class for those who like the heat and want to sweat and open up; Better Backs, for those students dealing with back pain, this class focuses on stability and connection to your core; Hot Core, a fantastic fat-burning and core-strengthening class; ChiselBlast for sculpting; and YO-Guy, a class specifically for men who are new to yoga.
“These specialized classes further demonstrate the power of yoga as cross training,” Clark explained. “At Hello Yoga, you can work all aspects of your heart, body, and soul without getting stuck in a rut, which in turn prevents injury.”
If you haven’t yet said hello to yoga, it’s clear that 2014 is the year to do so. Hello Yoga is kicking off the New Year with a great line up that promises lots of choices and lots of fun.
