ORIGINAL STORY:  How are the roads? The answer to one of Wilton’s favorite questions is, really slick and bad.

Icy road conditions all over Wilton are making driving difficult and dangerous. Wilton Police report multiple roads are blocked with disabled vehicles due to the conditions. They’re asking residents and drivers to allow the Department of Public Works to properly treat roads before anyone heads out this morning.

Road conditions are also the reason behind the Wilton Public Schools decision to call a two-hour delayed start to the school day. Superintendent Kevin Smith said he’s hearing reports of very bad road conditions all over town.

SeeClickFix users are reporting that conditions have made Hurlbutt St. and Dudley Rd. “impassable” with ice, and messages read, “Please send help!”

Wilton YMCA: Due to the winter weather and icy conditions the Y will be running on a modified opening on Wednesday, Jan. 5. All group fitness classes and programs are canceled before noon. Silver Sneakers will run at 12:30 p.m. Pre-School will have a delayed opening of 10:30 a.m.
