This is the second year that Little Pub Wilton is supporting Wilton Youth Football and Cheerleading with a fundraiser. They’ll generously donate 20-percent of the bill to Wilton Youth Football and Cheerleading when diners eat there from Sunday, Sept. 13 thru Sunday, Sept. 20, and show the “Eat. Drink. Cheer.” flyer.

Rosh Hashanah Services

The Jewish High Holy Days begin Sunday evening at sundown, when Jews around the world will start to observe Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Several area congregations offer opportunities for their congregation members, guests and members of the community to attend.

Chabad of Westport, Weston, Wilton & Norwalk

Chabad will be holding High Holidays Services 5776/2015 at the Westport Woman’s Club, (44 Imperial Ave., Westport). For reservations and information, visit the Chabad website.

  • Morning Service:  9 a.m.
  • Children’s Service:  10:30 a.m.
  • Shofar Blowing:  11:15 a.m.
  • Services will be followed by an elaborate Kiddush luncheon sponsored by the Sussman Family:  12:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 15

  • Morning Service:  9 a.m.
  • Children’s Service 10:30 a.m.

Temple B’nai Chaim

Temple B’nai Chaim (TBC) will be holding 2015 High Holy Days services at TBC’s synagogue in Georgetown (82 Portland Ave.). This year, the new prayer book, Mishkan HaNefesh (“Sanctuary of the Soul”), will be used for the first time. More than 200 families are expected to participate in observances, including current congregants and others in the community.
