The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Wilton that will be in effect from tonight (10 p.m. Tuesday evening, March 6) to 4 a.m. EST Thursday, March 8.

Winter Storm Quinn is predicted to bring possibly a foot of snow, according to GOOD Morning Wilton‘s weather partner, Jackson’s Weather. Meteorologist Jackson Dill says it will be a “classic Nor’easter” with wind gusts up to 50 mph and blizzard conditions. That means Wilton may be in for more power outages and tree damage.

Travel will be very difficult to impossible, including during the evening commute on Wednesday. Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times.

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Check local Department of Transportation information services for the latest road conditions.

Check Jackson’s Weather for updated information and for predictions on school closures or delays.
