The longest line in Wilton this week is likely at Town Hall in the tax collector‘s office. Wilton taxpayers are reminded that the deadline to pay taxes to the Town of Wilton is Thursday, Aug. 1.
To avoid interest, taxes can be paid online, by mail, by phone or in person by the end of the grace period on Aug. 1, 2019. If done after Aug. 1, interest accrues from the July 1 due date. There are no exceptions, according to an Op-Ed published by Wilton First Selectwoman Lynne Vanderslice. Details on payment methods are available on the Town’s website.
