The following letter was sent to GMW.com by the organizers of Sunday’s Oct. 4 Ambler Farm Day. Following the letter, look for photos from the day.

To the Editor:

On Sunday, Oct. 4, we celebrated our 15th Annual Ambler Farm Day. Thousands from our community came to this annual festival that has become a wonderful Wilton autumn tradition.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our amazing volunteers who made Ambler Farm Day a success — from Scarecrows to Hay Maze to Concessions and everything in between. It was great to work with you, thank you!

We would like to thank our event sponsors:  Ryan Cornell-William Pitt Sotheby’s, Durants Party Rentals, GOOD Morning Wilton, and Moments by Andrea Photography. We would also like to thank the following businesses, organizations and individuals for their generous support:  Aspetuck Apple Barn, Blue Jay Orchards, Bob’s Your Uncle Band, Haydenville Broomworks, Fran LeBarron, Jared Silbersher, Kuss Farms, Naked Greens, Stateline Landscaping, The Painted Cookie, Bob Russell, Town and Country, Town of Wilton, Uncle Leo’s, Village Market, Wilton CERT, Wilton Dept. of Public Works, Wilton Family Y, Wilton Fire Dept., Wilton Historical Society and Wilton Parks & Recreation.

Thank you also to our volunteers who made pies and other baked goods. Thank you to the groups who provided many of our youth volunteers, especially Ambler Farm Apprentices, Key Club, and Our Lady of Fatima.

Last but not least, a special thanks to program manager Kevin Meehan, director of agriculture Jonathan Kirschner, and executive director Robin Clune. This event could not happen without the countless hours you all spend sharing your time and talents with the farm.

A final thanks to everyone who came out and attended Ambler Farm Day. We hope you had a wonderful time, and that we see you again next year any time you stop by the Farm!
